Step Two
Content Buildout
SportsEngine will be migrating your current site content, following industry standards and DA’s template guidelines, along with applying the shared content from Diamond Allegiance. This will provide a great foundation for you to add your edits to and make a new digital home for your club.
Once we start moving content over, please pause any major changes on your existing site. This allows us to accomplish the migration for you in the allotted time without the need for continuous adjustments. It’ll be a smoother transition for you and reduces the risk of discrepancies or inconsistencies.
If you need to do some cleanup work first before we start the migration, that’s totally allowed. Simply let the NBCSN team know you need more time to prep your content and your navigation.
Your site shell will be delivered about three weeks from receiving your content migration information. It will have a great foundation set and we have self-paced learning to help walk you through how to build out and finalize your website.
Timing: 2 hours
Gathering Assets
Your site shell will come with placeholder content you will want to update to your liking. This may include images, links, icons, etc. Gathering assets ahead of time gives you a direction to the content you want to add to your site, allowing you to showcase your club to the masses.
Potential Assets to Gather in Preparation
- Large “hero” image (suggested dimensions: 2000 pixels wide x 1126 pixels tall)
- Key registration links
- Social media links
- Links to team store
- Link to mailing list signup OR embed codes if you use a service like MailChimp or Constant Contact
- Logo files for Sponsors/Partners (png format preferred)
- Links to Sponsors/Partners
Timing: 10 minutes – 3 days
Domain Registrar
To ensure you are ready to launch later, we want to ensure we’re all set from a URL/domain perspective. Your domain registrar is who you purchased and manage your domain through.
If you know your domain registrar login credentials or have it on hand, that’s great! Otherwise, you may need to work with your domain registrar’s support team to gain access again. In some cases, the domain registrar needs to verify your identity to ensure you are the one who should have access to the account. They do this by having you submit a photo of your driver’s license, delaying the process a couple days.
In the table below are some common domain registrars. If you are unsure who your domain registrar is, click the button below:

SportsEngine will be migrating your content from your completed design form, following industry standards and DA’s template guidelines. This will provide a great foundation for you to add your edits to and make a new digital home for your club.
Your microsite will be delivered between 1-2 weeks from receiving your content migration information. It will have a great foundation set and we have self-paced learning to help walk you through how to build out and finalize your location’s pages.
Timing: 30 minutes
Practice using the site backend
Your microsite will come completed based on the content inputted into the design form, so the more you load into the form, the more complete you microsite will be!
You’ll be able to forever edit many aspects of your location’s microsite. As registrations open, you can update the link targets. As you launch new teams, you can update the Team cards.
To begin getting familiar with your future website tools, you can play around in the prototype of the backend.
For Super Club Admins
Timing: 1 hour
Define National Content (Main Navigation)
Each affiliate will have a microsite for their location’s information. They will have a consistent layout and look, to help the site visitor now what to expect as they navigate your site.
The content not in a microsite will be the national content. This is anything not location-specific, like Contact Us forms or Foundation information.
Your default national content/main navigation will default to:
- ABOUT – Info about the high-level program including history and any national-level staff
- LOCATIONS
- EVENTS – National-level calendar
- NEWS – Aggregate of all location news as well as national news
- RESOURCES – Diamond Allegiance templated content
- STORE – Link to your super club store
- CONTACT – National-level contact info and form
- JOIN – Form with a dropdown for all locations
Timing: 10-30 minutes per affiliate
Review form submissions
Continue to help your affiliates complete their website forms. The more complete the form, the more complete their microsite will be.
We suggest you review each form submission as they come in to ensure it aligns with your strategic vision.
Timing: 1-2 hours
Home Club Microsite
Since the main navigation will be dedicated to national-level content, your home club’s staff, teams, programming, etc. will live in a microsite.
We will work with you to retrofit content into a microsite, or you can fill out a website form similar to your affiliates.

- Successfully logged in to your domain registrar
